Ira Israel Ira Israel began practicing yoga in 1995 in New York City. He studied at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Los Angeles in 1996 and then with Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Saul David Raye,Bryan Kest, Erich Shiffman, Max Strom, Tara Judelle, Anthony Benanati, Ganga White, Ally Hamilton and many other teachers in India, Thailand, Mexico, Hawaii and across the U.S. Ira took a Master’s Degree in Religious Studies from UCSB in 1999 concentrating on the history of yoga - you can find a sample of his interests at www.yogiphilosophy.com and his typical asana series at http://iraisrael.com/pdf/Asana_Series.pdfIra did his Yoga Teacher Training at YogaWorks in Los Angeles in 2005 and since then has taught at Phoenix House Recovery Center, Texas Chiropractic and Therapy, 24 Hour Fitness, and 7th Heaven Yoga Studio. Ira is a Registered Yoga Teacher 500 as well as a Registered Yoga Therapist. |
