George Lamb
George’s yoga practice started in Boston when he learned Transcendental Meditation in the 70’s. A long association with Integral Yoga ensued, and it was during that time that his interest in asana developed. Briefly touching base with Zen practice, he gravitated towards Vipassana, and now considers mindfulness to be an integral part of his practice . George is a 2008 graduate of the PYS Advance Training Program, and he continues to study with Richard Rosen. (look for him in Richard’s book: Yoga for 50+) He has had a long-standing interest in the emotional healing aspects of yoga, and recently started a Yoga for Depression class at Kaiser, where he also works as a clinical social worker. Additionally, George assists Marty in teaching Yoga 4 YouClasses to the local homeless population.
