Fee: $65 by 6/15, $80 thereafter

Scoliosis can be confusing. It creates imbalances in the body that can lead to pain and discomfort. A focused
practice of yoga with pilates can help reduce the imbalances and give you guidance about how to move more
comfortably and safely. In this interactive workshop, you will learn more about your own patterns of scoliosis and
explore how to integrate yoga poses with pilates exercises to meet your individual needs. You will also learn
modifications that can be brought into other yoga and pilates classes as well as specific
practices that you can do at home.

Come and explore how to apply yoga and pilates with your extra twists and turns!

Sandra Safadirazieli's exploration of yoga began when she was searching for ways to reduce pain associated
with scoliosis. She found that the precision and awareness of an Iyengar based practice helped ease her pain
and better understand the various imbalances created by scoliosis. She is a student of Elise Miller and Donald
Moyer and a graduate of the PYS advanced studies program.

Gaby Diskin was born in Australia, grew up in Israel, and has lived in the Bay Area since the 1980’s. In her
early teens, she was discovered with a right thoracolumbar curvature which did not stop her from leading a
normal healthy life. She studied ballet with Lynette De-Fazio and also discovered yoga and pilates to relieve
discomfort from her scoliosis. Gaby is certified by Elise Miller as a Yoga for Scoliosis Trainer and completed her
pilates training with Body Arts & Science International in Australia.

Cancellations before June 15 will be refunded less a $15 administration fee. No refunds for cancellations
on/after June 16.
