Thai yoga massage is a dynamic body work therapy based on yoga and ayurveda that can be traced back 2,500
years to the time of the Buddha. It’s present form was brought to Thailand by the Buddhas personal physician
where it has developed over time within the environment of the Buddhist temples of Thailand.

In this unique healing system the practitioner guides the recipient through a series of yoga postures combined with
Asian massage techniques and pressure points to re-align the recipients physical and energetic bodies. Traditionally
it is performed fully clothed on a massage mat using no oils or perfumes. This simplicity is what makes Thai
Massage so accessible to all of us who may want to share this type of massage with friends, partners or family
members. After completing this course, students will know how to:

  • Perform a basic 20 Thai Yoga Massage session
  • Incorporate the fundamentals of flowing transitions between postures
  • Maintain proper body alignment & stances that create a mutually beneficial massage for practitioner &
    recipient
  • Integrate "Metta" (compassion) and meditation into your work

Shawn has a deep passion for Thai massage and yoga which he uses on a daily basis in his healing work. He shifted
his Thai Massage practice to the Lotus Palm method of Thai Massage in 2006 because of Lotus Palms
comprehensive teaching style and their emphasis on self care for the practitioner. He feels deeply honored to share
this tradition with all who study with him. He is a full time healer and uses Thai Yoga Massage, Craniosacral,
and IYT yoga therapy as his main healing methods.

Cancellations before May 17 will be refunded less a $15 administration fee. No refunds for cancellations
on/after March 20.
