The four-week Introduction to Yoga courses are for students new to yoga or to the Iyengar method.The
class meets once a week and introduces the basic principles of yoga poses, relaxation, breathing, and yoga
philosophy. Please wear to class comfortable clothing, such as a T-shirt and shorts or leggings (no baggy pants
please) and bare feet. Please try not to eat for at least two hours before class; a light snack one hour before
class is okay.

Preregistration is required and please register early – class size is limited to 20. No drop-ins after the second week
please. If it is close to start date, please call (510) 652-3336 to make sure that there is still space available. We
strongly discourage waiting until the day of the first class to register because Introductory Series will be cancelled
unless there is a minimum number of pre-registered students. To further discourage this, there will be a $15 drop-
in fee added to the cost of the series on the Thursday before the series begins
